Before the Spring Festival, seven product design plans for 23-ton axle heavy rail tankers—covering liquefied gas tankers, liquid ammonia tankers, stainless steel fine chemical tankers, asphalt tankers, and stainless steel clad steel fine chemical tankers—developed by CNR Xi'an Plant successfully passed the technical review conducted by the Ministry of Railways. To date, the North Vehicle Group’s Xi'an Plant has successfully developed a total of 11 types of 23-ton axle heavy rail tankers, including the 70-ton light and sticky oil tanker, the 70-ton large axle heavy concentrated sulfuric acid tanker, and the liquid alkali railway tanker.
These 11 design schemes are based on the railway freight heavy-duty technical policy and align with the overall R&D strategy of the 23-ton axle load railway tankers at CNR Xi’an Plant, aiming to meet evolving market demands. Compared to previous models, these new designs bring several notable improvements. First, they incorporate the latest railway wagon technologies promoted by the Ministry of Railways, ensuring compliance with the heavy-duty railway freight technology policy. Second, they fully utilize the maximum allowable axle load permitted by the Ministry, significantly increasing the carrying capacity and maximizing transportation efficiency. Third, the designs take into account customer requirements and market trends, using advanced materials to reduce costs, optimize the car body structure, enhance technical performance, and improve user experience.
This development marks a significant step forward in the modernization and efficiency of China’s railway freight system, showcasing the plant's commitment to innovation and meeting the needs of both industry and end-users.
