Last weekend, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and Government held an economic situation analysis meeting in Hohhot. The meeting identified specific measures for steady growth, and will implement new electricity price policies for eligible petrochemical and other key industries from next month.
It is understood that in July this year, Inner Mongolia introduced a tariff subsidy policy for enterprises in the western region of Inner Mongolia’s power grid so that companies in this area, such as chlor-alkali, methanol, soda ash, and coke, gradually emerged from the bottom.
In order to continue to promote the overall economic development of the entire region of Inner Mongolia, the new electricity price policy was determined, and the original tariff subsidy policy implemented in Mengxi Power Grid was extended to the Mengdong region. At the same time, from November this year to the end of next June, the production of electricity for eligible industrial enterprises will be subsidized by 3 cents per kilowatt-hour on the basis of the current electricity price policy, and the implementation of the existing tariff subsidies will be further expanded in the Mengxi region. For those companies that have a better reputation for being discontinued or semi-discontinued, they will be exempted from some basic electricity charges during the period of capacity reduction or suspension. In the period of restoration and start-up, the tariffs will be charged according to the average basic electricity price standard for normal production of electricity-consuming enterprises. For the key enterprises that have been discontinued or have already completed production enterprises, implement the “one plant, one policy†electricity price support policy.
