At the 3-day exhibition, Eastman demonstrated a comprehensive range of innovative products for the tire additives business, including Crystex Insoluble Sulfur, Santoflex Antioxidants and the newly introduced Eastman Impera high performance resin.
These additives tires, tire manufacturers can help improve the performance of the different specifications of tires for passenger cars and heavy-duty commercial truck tires, including, such as improved wet traction, maintaining low rolling resistance, enhance durability and improve handling performance .
Among them, Eastman Impera is a series of pure monomer resins that can help optimize tire wet skid resistance and low rolling resistance without sacrificing other key performance and mixing processes, and without modifying the formula or even redesigning the tire. Santoflex antioxidants (PPDs) prevent premature aging and degradation of rubber due to oxidation, fatigue and overheating.
Eastman has a center of excellence in Akron, Ohio, USA that provides research and development support for the tire additives business. The center is equipped with a world-class rubber laboratory and has extensive analytical capabilities.
