Bosch's new CEO candidate surfaced

According to the German media, Bernd Bohr (pictured left), head of the Bosch Automotive Business Unit, or succeeding Franz Fehrenbach (pictured right), will become the next CEO of the Bosch Group.

According to the Manager Magazin, the 55-year-old Bohr is considered to be the most likely candidate to succeed Franz. Franz will replace Hermann Scholl as chairman of the Bosch Supervisory Board.

Bohr is an engineering graduate and joined the Bosch Group in 1983. He started his career in 1999 and joined the Bosch Group Management Committee in 1999. In 2003, he was promoted to head of the Bosch Automotive Business Unit.

Franz, 62, has been CEO of the Bosch Group since 2003. He joined Bosch as a reserve cadre in 1975, joined the company's management committee in 1999, and became CEO of Bosch four years later.
