On May 30, 2011, on the application of Aarti Drugs Ltd. and Unichem laboratories Ltd. (India), the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an anti-dumping sunset review of metronidazole originating in China. The product code involved in the customs code is 29332902.
The dumping investigation period for this case was from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. The damage investigation period includes fiscal year 2007/08, fiscal year 2008/09, fiscal year 2009/10, and dumping investigation period (January 1, 2010 ~ December 31).
In 1999, India conducted an anti-dumping investigation against metronidazole originating in China; in 2000, India made a definite final ruling on the case. Up to now, India's metronidazole has imposed anti-dumping measures for up to 10 years.
