Chicago Still & Box Alarm, 10-11-13

Todayâ€™s fire was a real challenge. MFAO sent several units to a still and box alarm at 3143 W Arthington, where a fire was reported with people trapped inside. Engine 107 arrived first and saw smoke coming from the third floor. Truck 36 went up to the roof while 107 and 44 worked on getting people out. It looked like the fire started in the basement and then spread up through the walls into the upper floors. This was the first snowfall of the year, which made things even more difficult for the crews. Here are some of my photos from the scene.
