The construction of Wufang Petrochemical Large Aromatic Hydrocarbon Project is one of the key projects for China Petroleum to achieve the incremental revenue increase target for the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period. It is a strategic layout of the Group Company based on the country’s key support for Xinjiang’s economic development. This project is of great significance for adjusting the industrial structure of enterprises, accelerating the upgrade of the petrochemical industrial chain and promoting the economic development of Xinjiang.
The total investment of this large aromatics complex is 3.7 billion yuan, and the total number of equipment is 824 (sets). It is currently the largest single-scale chemical production unit of its kind in the world. The large aromatics complex consists of 8 sets of equipment. The continuous reforming adsorptive separation equipment adopts the world's leading UOP ultra-low pressure continuous reforming technology and UOP simulated moving bed adsorption method, respectively, and has reached the world's leading level in core technology.
For safety, quality, and timely completion of large aromatics, Wuxi Petrochemical has firmly grasped all aspects of project construction since the construction of the project was initiated on May 1, 2008, and organized the participating units to fully promote the progress of the project.
