These bearings are made from a composite material that combines a metal backing (sintered porous bronze) with a PTFE polymer layer. The metal base provides structural strength, while the sintered bronze layer ensures strong adhesion between the base and the bearing surface. The PTFE polymer offers low friction even under dry conditions and is designed for minimal lubrication. This construction enhances dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity, making it ideal for long-lasting performance without or with lubrication.

Structure
1. PTFE/Fibre mixture, 0.01–0.03mm thick, creates an initial transfer film that coats the mating surfaces of the bearing assembly, forming a solid lubricant film.
2. Sintered bronze powder layer, 0.20–0.35mm thick, enhances thermal conductivity and acts as a reservoir for the PTFE-fiber mixture.
3. Low-carbon steel base provides high load capacity and efficient heat dissipation.
4. Copper/Tin plating, 0.002mm thick, offers excellent corrosion resistance.
