Recently, the world's first double reverse flotation industrial test plant for collophanite was put into production at Hubei Yihua Group. This is a major breakthrough in the comprehensive utilization of phosphate resources after the company continued its heavy medium mineral processing technology to solve the world's problems.
The device has a total investment of 4.5 million yuan. It was started construction in October 2005. It was completed and put into operation at the end of March 2006. Currently, the device operates smoothly, all economic and technical indicators are up to standard, magnesium content is less than 0.6%, and the recovery rate is greater than 90%. P2O5 in the ore is greater than 32%, and the ratio of sesquioxide and phosphorus is less than 10%. From project establishment to production, the project received funding and technical support from national key scientific research institutes such as Lianyungang Design Institute and Qingdao Chemical Design Institute and provincial and municipal science and technology departments. On this basis, the country’s largest beneficiation laboratory was built. Through small-scale trials and pilot tests, the success of this industrialization test will lay a solid foundation for industrialization in the next step.
At present, the processing cost of the beneficiation process is 200 yuan/ton or more, but it can ensure that the 20% grade of phosphate rock can be selected to more than 32%. This effectively protects Yichang's phosphate resources, and has found a technologically feasible, scientific, and economical beneficiation process route for the sustainable development of the phosphor chemical industry in Hubei Province and even the entire country, achieving a virtuous cycle of resource protection and rational development and utilization.
The successful commissioning of this device can completely abolish the traditional mining method of “producing wealth and abandoning poverty†in the process of phosphate rock mining, and provides technical support for breaking through the worldwide technical problem of Yichang collophane ore beneficiation. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period, Yihua Group will make full use of this proprietary technology to build a large-scale mineral fertilizer combining project with a 3 million-ton/year high-concentration phosphorus compound fertilizer and a 1.5 million-ton/year phosphate ore beneficiation plant in Yichang. Yihua has built China's largest phosphorus chemical industry base.
