Microsoft is using Bletchley to create blockchain as a service on Azure

Since Microsoft first introduced Azure Blockchain as a service in November 2015, Microsoft has been working with companies and partners for their feedback since then, knowing that before a company can and will be willing to use blockchain applications, it should also be What to add to this product.

Blockchain is the technical basis for encrypting electronic currency bitcoin. But the use of this technology goes far beyond that. Blockchain is a shared, distributed ledger that not only keeps a complete history of encrypted electronic money transactions, but also other types of records. Therefore, it has aroused the interest of many enterprises, especially banking and financial enterprises.

June 15, Microsoft unveiled the veil of this plan, using Bletchley to solve some of these problems. Bletchley is Microsoft's "Azure-backed, open, modular blockchain architecture release." Bletchley is said to embrace two concepts: Blockchain middleware and cryptlets.

According to a white paper from Microsoft's Bletchley project, blockchain middleware will deliver core cloud services such as identity and operational management, as well as intelligent services such as analytics and machine learning. Cryptlet was described by Microsoft as "a new blockchain technology building block" that will provide interoperability and communication with Azure and other public / private clouds, ecosystem middleware, and other client technologies.

In an overview of Bletchley, Microsoft believes that open source technology will be the building blocks for building this ecosystem: supporting open standards for peer-2-peer / network protocol-level implementation of databases and virtual machines in larger ecosystems The key to build trust and promote innovation.

However, from the vague architectural diagram released by Microsoft (see above), it appears that Azure is a prerequisite for Bletchley. According to the white paper, Microsoft executives plan to disclose more details at the Toronto Worldwide Partner Conference in mid-July.
