These pumps are widely used across industries such as machinery, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, sugar processing, printing, metallurgy, and electronics. Due to the isothermal compression process, they are particularly suitable for handling flammable or explosive gases, reducing the risk of combustion. **Working Principle of the SK Series Water Ring Vacuum Pump** As shown in the diagram, the impeller is eccentrically mounted within the pump casing. When it rotates, centrifugal force causes the water to form a rotating water ring on the inner wall of the casing. During the first half of the rotation, the space between the impeller blades expands, creating a vacuum that draws in gas. In the second half, the space contracts, increasing the pressure and expelling the gas through the exhaust port. This cycle repeats continuously, enabling the pump to maintain a steady vacuum or pressure. During operation, heat is generated, which raises the temperature of the working water. To maintain efficiency, continuous water supply is required to cool and replenish the water lost during the process. If the gas being discharged is not reused, a gas-water separator is connected to the exhaust port. This allows for the separation of gas and water, with the gas being released and the water returned to the pump for reuse.
