At the same time, the new device put into operation this time utilizes the reserved open space construction next to the existing device, which can not only requisition land, save a lot of investment, but also realize integrated production organization and management with existing devices, and increase efficiency.
Ethylene glycol is a widely used chemical raw material and is mainly used in the production of polyester and automotive antifreeze in our country. With the rapid development of China’s national economy, the market’s demand for polyester products and antifreeze has been increasing. Although the operating rate of domestic ethylene glycol production facilities is continuously increasing, the growth rate of downstream products is higher than that of ethylene glycol production. Therefore, the import volume of ethylene glycol in China is increasing. The data shows that in 2006 China's ethylene glycol production was 1.35 million tons, while imports amounted to 4.05 million tons.
