- Compatibility: Whether you're at home or on the road, the Wattpilot Go works with all 3-phase outlets found in shopping centers, restaurants, workplaces, public car parks, and more.
- Novated Lease Option: You can include the cost of your Wattpilot Go in your Novated Lease package.
2. Is the Wattpilot Go compatible with single-phase homes? Yes, but it will require an adapter. The standard Wattpilot Home model includes this adaptor.
3. Do I need a Fronius solar system to charge my EV at home using a Wattpilot?
Contrary to common belief, you don’t need a Fronius solar system (or any solar system) to charge your EV — a regular outlet will do. However, using a Wattpilot offers enhanced functionality, including faster charging speeds.
The Wattpilot Home and Wattpilot Go can be connected to any brand of solar system, and advanced Fronius features like 'Solar Aware' and 'Next Trip' are accessible via a Fronius Smart Meter if you have a different brand solar system.
4. How can I monitor my power usage? To track your EV charging from your solar system, you’ll need either a Fronius solar system or a Smart Meter connected to your system. The 'Solar-Aware' feature lets you charge exclusively from your solar-generated power.
5. How can I ensure my car is fully charged for the next day?
The Wattpilot Go offers two modes:
- Eco 'Solar-Aware' Mode: This ensures only excess solar power is used to charge your EV.
- Next Trip Mode: This prioritizes your car’s charge level based on your planned travel range, using grid power if needed.
Additionally, the Wattpilot Go and Wattpilot Home can automatically switch between single and three-phase power during charging.
6. Can I charge multiple cars with one Wattpilot Go or Wattpilot Home? Yes — with Dynamic Load Balancing, up to three EVs can be charged simultaneously while maintaining a stable power supply.
7. Can I install my Wattpilot Go outdoors? While the Wattpilot Go is portable and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it’s not designed for permanent outdoor installation. For that, the Wattpilot Home is the better option.
8. Can I view my Wattpilot through the Fronius app? Yes, you can monitor your Wattpilot through the Fronius app ('solar.web'), as shown in the image above.
