The Calumet City Fire Department has recently been added to the site, marking their inclusion in MABAS Division 24. The department operates from two fire stations, both equipped with Pierce fire apparatus, and they also utilize ambulances provided by Excellance and Medtec. In addition to their modern fleet, Calumet City proudly maintains a historic 1914 American LaFrance fire engine, a true piece of firefighting history. With 48 career firefighters protecting an area of 7.1 square miles, the department remains a vital part of the community's emergency services.
