BVX-200 fume purification system uses brushless motor technology

OK International (OK) introduced the BVX-200, a fume extraction system using brushless motor technology, which reduces the wear and tear of motor components and greatly extends the life of the equipment. The device offers higher reliability, better smoke removal, and multiple operating modes for optimized equipment management.
Graham Ross, product manager for OK Americas, said: "The brushless motor is very suitable. It has the high torque and high power required to improve the smoke purification effect, and there is no powder generated by brush friction. Recent developments in motor controller design To enable our customers to enjoy the benefits of brushless motors, including extending equipment life without increasing costs."

Brushless motors have other advantages in the manufacturing environment, such as high reliability, brushless powder, and improved motor efficiency from friction. In addition, electrical noise and radio frequency (RF) interference are reduced, and sparks between the brush and the commutator ring do not occur. Compared to conventional brushed DC motors of the same size, brushless motors can achieve greater power and torque, since the former's maximum power and torque are limited by the brush rating.

The BVX-200 fume extraction unit with brushless motor technology can now be installed on all systems without increasing the number of parts.

In July 2007, the BVX-200 fume extraction system will also be ready to add two new features. One is to add an audible filter indicator that will notify the user when a filter should be replaced. The second is to add a remote switch to those devices that are installed in hard-to-reach areas of the workbench. These new features will increase the efficiency of product replacement without increasing costs or parts.
